Meet Dr. Zandra Sims, D.Min.

Welcome! I am Dr. Zandra Sims, D.Min., a faith-based counselor, educator, Minister, speaker, and consultant dedicated to helping individuals, families, churches, and organizations navigate life's challenges with wisdom, compassion, and practical solutions.

I earned my Doctor of Ministry from Virginia Union University's Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, where my doctoral research focused on strengthening support systems for grandparents raising grandchildren within church communities.

I am a Board-Certified Christian Counselor (Badge #3081) and hold a specialized certification in Christian Crisis Trauma Counseling (Badge #1893). My counseling approach integrates biblical principles, compassionate care, and trauma-informed practices to support individuals experiencing emotional distress, personal crises, grief, and trauma. I am committed to helping individuals achieve spiritual restoration, emotional healing, and renewed hope.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University, a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling and Special Education from Norfolk State University, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from The George Washington University. This multidisciplinary foundation enables me to provide holistic guidance that addresses educational, emotional, behavioral, spiritual, and family needs.

As the founder of Aging Gracefully Faith-Based Counseling & Healing Services, my mission is to provide compassionate, Christ-centered counseling, coaching, consulting, and educational services that inspire healing, strengthen relationships, and empower individuals to fulfill their God-given purpose.
